Can anyone share their personal experience with preparing for and taking the CHFP exam?

When it comes to preparing for the CHFP exam, personal experiences and insights from those who have already gone through the process can be invaluable. Could those who have taken the CHFP exam share their journey with us?

  • As a successful CHFP exam candidate, I found that thorough preparation is essential to passing the exam. Utilizing the Certified Healthcare Financial Professional CHFP practice test was a key component of my successful exam preparation. These practice tests not only familiarized me with the exam format and types of questions I would encounter in the final exam but also helped me identify areas where i needed to focus my stufy efforts. I recommend that every candidates must use this CHFP practice test material before taking the final exam.

    Hi,

HFMA Region 10 is offering a CHFP virtual Bootcamp on the 13th and 14th this week. Not sure if that helps you.

  • I literally studied for the CHFP part 1 for six months.  Although I worked in healthcare finance some of the terminology was new to me.  I am not a good test taker but after I passed part 1 I studied for another two weeks to take part 2.  I also took the practice exam and when I passed it, I felt comfortable taking the exam.  After passing those I decided to take all the certifications that HFMA was offering at the time (CSAF, CRCR, CSPR, CSPPM, CSBI) and recognized that a lot of what the CHFP exam encompasses comes from the knowledge learned in those other exams.

Congratulations on conquering the CHFP! I’ve actually completed mine as well, and I’ve been looking into the other certifications like CSAF, CRCR, and CSBI.

I’ve been preparing for the CSAF exam, but you’ve got me thinking – maybe I should consider taking all of what HFMA offers.
