My name is Disougi, and I am pleased to be part of this professional community.
I have more than 15 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle in the United Arab Emirates. My career began with insurance claims processing at a Third-Party Administrator (TPA), followed by patient access and revenue cycle operations at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), where I gained extensive experience across multiple areas of the revenue cycle.
I recently joined Mayo Clinic in a non-revenue cycle role and have continued investing in my professional development by earning several HFMA certifications, including CRCR, CSBI, CSPR, and CHFP. These certifications have strengthened my understanding of U.S. healthcare revenue cycle principles and best practices.
Although I have extensive revenue cycle experience, my background was developed outside the United States. My goal is to gain firsthand exposure to how revenue cycle operations are performed within a U.S. healthcare system, so I can better connect my international experience with U.S. workflows and prepare for future internal revenue cycle opportunities.
I am looking for advice or connections regarding job shadowing opportunities that could be completed outside my regular work schedule, so they would not interfere with my current responsibilities. If anyone has experience arranging a shadowing opportunity, or has suggestions on how to approach this professionally, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.
