Chat Pop-ups in Zoom

Marcus, can you not click on an X in the upper right corner of the chat box?  That will minimize it.....

Thanks Evalie. My chat is minimized, but I haven't found a way to keep the pop-up from appearing on the screen. Is there a remedy for this?

hmmmm, I have not seen any pop-ups but maybe I am just automatically minimizing and not paying attention....I did not do anything to disable pop-ups so sorry I am not much help on this one......

Ironically I had to click on the chat icon so that it opened an entire live panel on the right of the slide section. It still is distracting for those of us who have to look at movement in your peripheral vision, but it's not nearly as distracting as those tiny popups that physically block part of the presentation. That's the best I've found.

Thank you Elham. I didn't even try that (keeping the chat open to the right) as a means to eliminate the pop-ups. This will be a better option. Thanks again!

Even better...since I have two monitors, I can actually drag the open chat box far to the opposite side of the other monitor and it is not distracting. Thank you.

it is less distracting if you open the chat box and drag it to the right of the presentation window (or if you have dual monitors another monitor).  The chats scroll but a new comment does not display over the bottom of the presenters slide.  Agree, HFMA should be clearer about either this tip, set a default position for the chat box, or another option on how they would recommend minimizing the distraction ;-)
